The events unfolding across our country are tragic and heartbreaking. Our country has a disgraceful history of racial injustice and police brutality towards black and brown people, and as a company, we are committed to fighting racial injustice in all its forms. We must all do our part to undo the structural elements that sustain the legacy of slavery and racism in America, and to close the inequity gap.

As a company and community, Occupier is committed to the following actions:

• Sign the Color of Change petition to end practices that unfairly hold black people back
• Match employee donations to the following organizations, or others that pledge to fight racism:
  • Black Lives Matter
  • Campaign Zero
  • NAACP Legal Defense Fund
  • Equal Justice Initiative
  • Center for Policing Equity
  • The Marshall Project
• Hire, pay fairly, and promote black and underrepresented employees (more to come on our developing approach to this)
• Commit to recognizing and acknowledging our own biases and privileges through reading, seeking knowledge, and discourse among our team and community

We are committed to fighting for social justice in America, and we urge our peers in real estate to take action towards building a more diverse industry.
